The scholarly field of trust research is alive and well. Fuelled, in part, by a seemingly unending supply of real-world challenges, scholars from virtually every academic discipline continue to devote considerable attention to the construct. As we continue our efforts to capture the conversation of trust research, we devote the current editorial to taking stock of that conversation. Using JTR’s 14 volumes as our lens, we consider the development of the field to this point and outline key future directions.
