Tilaisuus on osa Tieteiden yö 2026 -kaupunkitapahtumaa. Tilaisuuden järjestää Helsingin yliopiston Valtiotieteellinen tiedekunta. Ohjelmasta vastaavat Strategisen tutkimuksen neuvoston rahoittamat hankkeet DECA ja REPAIR.

Tilaisuuden tarkoituksena on tarjota lapsille oivallus siitä, että tekoälyn kehitykseen voi vaikuttaa – ei ainoastaan teknologian, vaan myös yhteiskunnan näkökulmasta. Tilaisuus on toiminnallinen kokonaisuus, jossa oivaltaminen tapahtuu tekemisen kautta.

PhD Researcher Antti Kurko (Tampere University) will deliver an online presentation titled Digital Waste: A Lens to Study Datafied Society on February 11, from 9:00 to 10:00 (EET).

Dominik Siemon will give an online presentation entitled The Developmental Bypass: Understanding AI’s Impact on Writer Development Through Experiments and a Field Study on January 21 at 9:00-10:00.

Olivia Maury will give an online presentation entitled Built-in Delay of the Architecture of Fulfilment: Perspectives from Migrant Platform Workers in Helsinki on November 19 at 9:00-10:00.

In this afternoon seminar, three researchers from the Datafied Life Collaboratory use invisible and visible forms of work to expose the human infrastructures of technology. The seminar builds on insights from the morning workshop led by Associate Professor Amir Payberah.
